White Lightning Books®

Spanning reading levels 1.5 to 2.5 overall, White Lightning Books® is organized into three series: White Lightning fiction, White Lightning Books® Mysteries, and White Lightning Books® Nonfiction, each covering a wide range of themes and interests so there's an entry point for nearly every reader. These aren't YA or elementary books, a distinction younger teens notice and appreciate.

White Lightning Books®

Fast-paced, mature, and age-appropriate, the White Lightning fiction series tells complete stories in short chapters across roughly 100 pages, keeping momentum high for striving readers who want a story that moves. The thirteen titles span a wide range of genres and interests, from Qwik Cutter's tech-thriller premise to grounded stories like Summer Camp and Grand Slam, at Reading Level 1.5 to 2.5.

White Lightning Books® Mysteries

White Lightning Mysteries blends science fiction, mystery, and drama into ten tightly-paced chapter books of 76 to 80 pages each, built for striving readers who want an eerie hook and a twist. Titles like Mind Reader, No Survivors, and Sea Cave sit at Reading Level 3.0 to 3.5, the highest range in the White Lightning family, giving more advanced striving readers a next step up. White Lightning Books® Nonfiction

White Lightning Nonfiction pairs mature, high-interest topics, from Navajo Code Talkers to Esports to Stephen Hawking, with full-color photographs, infographics, charts, and tables that pull striving readers into real information rather than a textbook page. Each of the sixteen titles includes a 20-word glossary for vocabulary support, at Reading Level 2.0 to 3.0. A sample set covering all sixteen titles is also available.
