LIFT is Level 6, the top and final level in Saddleback's Teen Early Fluency Libraries®, following RISE™ [5]. Built for grades 9-12 readers at a reading level of 2.6 to 3.0 (Lexile HL310L to HL390L), LIFT is where the series hands readers off with the strongest fluency foundation in the set, longer texts, denser vocabulary, and more complex structure, still controlled enough to keep a striving reader in the driver's seat.

Fiction titles at this level run 72 pages, and nonfiction titles run 80 pages, both landing in the 2,600 to 2,900 word range, the longest texts anywhere in the Teen Emergent Reader Libraries® to Teen Early Fluency Libraries® continuum. The boxed set includes 20 titles across five genres: careers and vocations, fine arts, futuristic and science fiction, plays, and thrillers, with three fiction titles to every one nonfiction title in each genre. Each title includes progress-monitoring assessments, and the full set includes a comprehensive teacher's guide (lesson plans, strategic reading questions, comprehension activities, and assessments). LIFT is designed for upper middle school and high school students striving to read, students with learning differences and special needs, and secondary English Language Learners and Newcomers.
