These Hi-Lo fiction and nonfiction titles have ties to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). Students build literacy skills while learning science content. These collections encourage readers to explore new ways to think critically about STEM topics. Each box comes with a collection of fiction and nonfiction in a variety of Lexile levels.
Set 1 and Set 2 aren't split by reading level; both cover essentially the same Lexile range. They're different selections of titles at the same level, so choose based on which specific books fit your classroom, or get both to double your title variety without repeating a book. Sets with a "+ Hi-Lo Guide" add-on include a comprehension strategies guide for teaching with the collection; the set alone works well for independent or classroom library reading.
