Tween Moral Focus Set 2 with Hi-Lo Comprehension Strategies Guide

This set includes 30 Hi-Lo books, one copy of each title, for students in grades 4-8. Every book falls within the HL70L-HL450L Lexile range (reading levels 1.0 to 3.9), so striving readers can choose a book they can read and still find worth reading. The set centers on moral focus virtue themes. Set 1 and Set 2 cover a similar Lexile range with different titles, so you can add both for more variety.

Virtues include: wisdom and discernment, respect and tolerance, gratitude and contentment, self-control and self-discipline, perseverance and flexibility, courage and assertiveness, encouragement and generosity, compassion and empathy, and integrity and accountability.

This set also includes the Hi-Lo Book Comprehension Strategies Guide, a paperback teacher resource for grades 4-12 with 30 strategies you can use with any Hi-Lo book. The strategies are organized into before, during, and after reading, and each includes a visual example and a step-by-step lesson plan.

This set is part of Saddleback's Hi-Lo Classroom Libraries, collections of high-interest, low-readability books that help you grow your classroom library, offer independent reading choices, and support targeted reading instruction.

Titles in this set may vary and are subject to change without notice, but any substitute will fall in the same Lexile range.
