GO! Engage® [2] is the second box in Saddleback's Tween Emergent Reader Libraries® Sight-Words-based track, built for upper elementary and middle school students ages 10 to 14 who are ready to move past foundational sight words and build reading fluency, including students with learning differences and English language learners. The box contains 60 books; that's 3 classroom copies each of 20 different titles, spanning 5 genres of hi-lo (high-interest, low-readability) fiction and nonfiction. Every title is written at a Reading Level of 0.6 to 1.0 (Lexile BR to HL130L), runs 48 pages and 800 to 950 words, and pairs a growing sight-word vocabulary with age-appropriate covers and topics, so an older student reading below grade level doesn't end up holding a book that looks like it's for a much younger child.
