GO! Discover® is the third and final tier in Tween Emergent Reader Libraries® Phonics, completing the nine-level continuum that began with GO! Decode® [1] and continued through GO! Develop® [2]. GO! Discover® covers Levels Seven through Nine, spanning a reading level of 1.2 to 1.6 (Lexile HL20L to HL200L) for grades 4-8, the point where a striving reader has built the full range of foundational phonics skills.

Each level includes eight 16-24 page books, six fiction and two nonfiction, with the same word-list, teacher's guide, and assessment structure as the other two tiers.

Scope and sequence, GO! Discover [3]:

  • Level Seven: adds vowel digraphs, r-controlled vowels
  • Level Eight: adds vowel diphthongs, compound words, inflections -ed and -ing
  • Level Nine: adds multisyllabic words (VCV patterns and consonant + le), words with the schwa sound, words that end in schwa + r, contractions, singular possessives
