For English language learners in grades 9-12, including newcomers, Saddleback offers two levels of the ELL Teen Literacy Library, so you can match the right reading level to each student. Both libraries pair fiction and nonfiction with real-world content-area topics, since textbooks written above grade level can otherwise make those classes hard to access.
Each library is organized into five content-focused genres with 20 unique titles, three fiction books and one nonfiction book per genre. The library places special emphasis on vocabulary, with five key vocabulary words highlighted in each book.
