Reading Level

Hi-Lo is a term used to describe high-interest, low-readability books. Saddleback’s solutions incorporate mature, complex themes (high-interest) at lower reading levels (low readability). This combination engages readers by giving them content they WANT to read while setting them up for success.

Select books based on a student’s reading level to ensure reading success. Books are categorized by range of reading levels. Saddleback uses ATOS measures as well as Lexile measurements when leveling books.
